Be still my soul-
And seek His face
Find rest and peace
In His embrace

So many at times
The world seems dark-
I try, but cannot find my way.
And I am weak,
My flesh caves in
My human strength begins to fray.
My soul in turmoil cries out “LORD!”
But with impatience turns away
And so I cannot hear His voice
Say “Child be still,
Hold fast and pray
And in me,
Strength you’ll find this day.”

So be still my soul-
And seek His face
At His feet,
His holy place
And I will feel His warm embrace
In the shadow of His wings
Will be my peace
And my solace.
